What is a Punchout?

Punchouts are common in procurement systems when the system cannot get a live data feed. Therefore a punch out is necessary to pull in the products you are buying from a supplier to the procurement platform, such as Iris. Then the platform will send out your order while keep track of the purchases, shipping, prices and other data associated with that order.
